Description
Barbour's classic wax jackets are hand-stitched in waxed cotton. Over time, the wax wears off and the jacket may need a new dose. Depending on how much you use your jacket, this interval can be approximately 1 to 3 years.
With Barbour Wax Dressing, you can easily wax your own jacket at home in four simple steps:
- Warm up your jacket using a hairdryer or a warming cabinet.
- Warm up the tin of wax in a water bath, and leave it there.
- Apply the melted wax to the jacket with a sponge, and use extra heat to work it into the fabric.
- After a while, wipe off any excess wax that has not been absorbed by the fibers with a piece of cloth.
