After use, remove dirt and mud with a soft brush or cloth and sponge clean with water or a specialized rubber boot cleaner. Ensure all surfaces of the boot are clean. Allow to dry naturally, away from direct heat sources which can dry out the rubber. Periodically treat the rubber with a rubber conditioner to help maintain it and reduce the risk of cracking and splitting. If the boot contains fabric such as neoprene or nylon, use a damp cloth and mild detergent to remove excess dirt. Inner linings can also be cleaned in this way.
